Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed for her pioneering work in studying eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in the legal setting. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with a wide range of research publications as well as numerous grants to her name she is also the winner of numerous national and global distinctions. She works with a variety of nations and organizations around the world regarding policies and research on children's victimization within the court system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, as well as three Divisions: the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
